What this guide is (and is not)
OS-wide Energy Saver / Battery saver belongs in earnapp-windows-energy-saver-europe-2026. Sleep, lid-close and “never sleep on AC” belong in always-on-pc-earnapp-setup-europe-2026. Metered Wi‑Fi/Ethernet belongs in earnapp-windows-metered-connection-europe-2026. A tray that vanished after reboot belongs in earnapp-windows-autostart-reboot-europe-2026. A running tray that is Offline or stuck at $0 with Efficiency mode already Off belongs in earnapp-offline-zero-earnings-europe-2026. First-run SmartScreen belongs in earnapp-windows-smartscreen-install-europe-2026. Moving boxes belongs in earnapp-new-pc-same-account-europe-2026. First PayPal timing belongs in earnapp-first-paypal-cashout-europe-2026. Here Windows tagged the EarnApp process as a background leaf.
RefDeal will not invent an Efficiency-mode “unlock code,” a Bright Data EcoQoS coupon, or an EU payout minimum copied from a 2023 screenshot. Efficiency mode is a Windows 11 Task Manager / EcoQoS policy on one EXE. EarnApp is a Bright Data client. Install from the tracked invite, then leave EarnApp.exe out of Efficiency mode on an always-on home PC.
Confirm it is Efficiency mode, not Energy Saver
Efficiency mode is a per-process Windows leaf — not a missing EarnApp promo code.
- Ctrl+Shift+Esc → Processes. If EarnApp (or EarnApp.exe) shows a leaf / “Efficiency mode” in the Status column, you belong here — even when Settings → System → Power → Energy Saver is already Off
- Energy Saver is a whole-PC toggle (separate guide). Efficiency mode is per-process. You can have Energy Saver Off and still starve EarnApp with a leaf on the EXE
- If the tray disappeared after reboot, use autostart. If the adapter shows Metered, use the metered guide. If the tray is Offline, use the offline/$0 guide after you clear the leaf
- OEM “Quiet / Eco” suites and some “PC optimizer” tools re-apply Efficiency mode after a reboot. Uninstall the optimizer; do not buy a “bandwidth whitelist.” Work/school MDM that forces EcoQoS on all background apps is not yours to fight
Turn Efficiency mode off on the EarnApp process
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp. Do not farm a work laptop whose MDM forces EcoQoS on every background EXE.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not clear Efficiency mode
- Task Manager → Processes → find EarnApp. Right-click → Efficiency mode → Off. The leaf in Status should disappear. If you only see “End task,” expand the group and click the EarnApp.exe child
- If Efficiency mode turns itself back on after a few minutes, look for a third-party “RAM booster” or an OEM Eco utility. Remove that, then test one quiet evening — do not install another booster to “fix” the first
- Power mode on AC stays Balanced or Best performance (Energy Saver guide). Screen-off is OK. Do not set Best power efficiency on a plugged-in spare PC and then wonder why Task Manager keeps tagging EarnApp
After the leaf is gone
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.
- Tray Online, leaf Off: leave it a quiet week. We will not quote a fake first-day amount. Screenshot your own dashboard if you need a record
- Leaf returns after reboot: check OEM Eco utilities and “PC cleaners.” School MDM that forces Efficiency mode is not yours to fight — use a personal home PC, or skip
- Tray Online but $0 after a quiet week with leaf Off, Energy Saver Off, and an unmetered home fibre line: switch to the offline/$0 guide (firewall, official binary, Limited). Per-process throttling is done
- Unplugged laptops: Windows will keep trying to EcoQoS background apps. EarnApp on battery is a poor EU path — plug in, or use a spare always-on mini-PC via the tracked invite
What we will not claim
There is no RefDeal EarnApp promo code, no published “Efficiency mode bonus,” and no honest EU minimum we can paste from a 2023 screenshot. Primary CTA stays the EarnApp offer with our tracked invite. Hub: /guides/bandwidth-safety/. Starter: /en/start/bandwidth/.
