What this guide is (and is not)
Classic Sleep / lid-close / “never sleep on AC” belong in always-on-pc-earnapp-setup-europe-2026. That page is the ordinary power-plan story. Fast startup (hybrid Shut down that also uses hiberfil) belongs in earnapp-windows-fast-startup-europe-2026 — you clicked Shut down, not Hibernate. Modern Standby / Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) belongs in earnapp-windows-modern-standby-europe-2026: the PC looks awake, the display blanks, radios trickle. This page is S4: Hibernate after X minutes, the Hibernate power-button action, or Start-menu Hibernate. Task Manager is gone. The Ethernet link light is dead. Energy Saver, Efficiency EcoQoS leaf, NIC Device Manager “Allow the computer to turn off this device,” USB suspend, Wi‑Fi Power Saving Mode, EEE / Green Ethernet, PCIe ASPM, Game Mode, Xbox Game Bar, metered NIC, reboot autostart, SmartScreen, new-PC, offline/$0 and first PayPal have their own pages. Here the stall was a full hibernate dump — not a missing Sleep timeout and not S0 idle.
RefDeal will not invent a “Hibernate promo,” an S4 coupon, or an EU payout minimum copied from a 2023 screenshot. Hibernate is a Windows power state. EarnApp is a Bright Data client that needs a live, recognisably residential session. Install from the tracked invite, then set Hibernate after = Never on AC for the one spare always-on PC — or hide Hibernate from the Start menu if you keep pressing it by habit. A laptop you actually carry can keep Hibernate for battery trips; do not farm that lid-shut S4 overnight.
Confirm it is S4 Hibernate, not Sleep or S0
Sleep Never with Hibernate after 180 minutes is still an overnight EarnApp killer — not a missing promo code.
- If Settings → System → Power still allows Sleep after a few minutes on AC, fix that first on the always-on guide. Classic S3 sleep pauses the PC without writing a full hiberfil dump. This page is S4: disk image, power LED often off or slow-blink, NIC dark
- If you clicked Shut down and the tray is stale next power-on, use the Fast startup guide. Hybrid shutdown reuses hibernation files; the user action was Shut down, not Hibernate
- If Sleep is Never, the display blanks, and powercfg /a lists Standby (S0 Low Power Idle), use the Modern Standby guide. S0 is not S4
- Open Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings. Expand Sleep. Note Hibernate after (On battery vs Plugged in). A leftover 180 minutes on AC is enough to kill overnight EarnApp while Sleep still says Never
- Check Start → Power. If Hibernate is listed, someone in the house can dump the farm PC in one click. Hide it on the spare box: Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do → Change settings that are currently unavailable → uncheck Hibernate (or set the power-button action to Shut down / Do nothing — never Hibernate — on the EarnApp PC)
- Elevated Command Prompt: powercfg /a. “Hibernation” available means S4 is in play. Optional: powercfg /query and look for Hibernate idle timeout. Search “Hibernate Windows 11” on Microsoft Learn, not a Telegram “EarnApp hiberfil.reg”
Keep the EarnApp box out of S4
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp, on the home Ethernet port you intend to keep. Do not fight a work laptop whose MDM restores Hibernate, and do not farm a phone hotspot.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not disable Hibernate
- Best EU path: spare desktop or Ethernet mini-PC. Advanced power settings → Hibernate after → Never when plugged in. Sleep Never on AC (always-on guide). Energy Saver Off
- Hide Hibernate from Start on that box so a housemate cannot dump RAM by accident. Lid-close on a spare laptop should be Do nothing or Sleep Never — not Hibernate — if that chassis is the farm
- Optional advanced (your hardware, your risk): powercfg /hibernate off removes S4 and Fast startup. Only if you understand you lose Hibernate on that machine. We will not paste a forum ZIP. Travel ultrabooks should keep Hibernate
- Confirm the official tray stays Online through a quiet night. Do not buy a “S4 unlock pack.”
After Hibernate is out of the path
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.
- Tray Online through a quiet week with Hibernate after Never on AC: leave it. We will not quote a fake first-day amount. Screenshot your own dashboard if you need a record
- Hibernate Never but Sleep still triggers after minutes on AC: switch to the always-on guide. S4 is done
- Hibernate Never but the tray vanished after Shut down: switch to the Fast startup guide
- Hibernate Never, Sleep Never, display-off still Limited: switch to the Modern Standby guide and run powercfg /a
- S4 gone, Sleep Never, tray Online, still $0 after a quiet week with Energy Saver Off, Efficiency leaf Off, Game Mode Off, Game Bar Off, ASPM Off, EEE Off, Wi‑Fi unused or Maximum Performance, random MAC Off, USB suspend Off, Ethernet NIC checkbox Off, Fast startup Off, and an unmetered home fibre line: switch to the offline/$0 guide (firewall, official binary, Limited)
- Laptops you actually carry: keep Hibernate for real trips. EarnApp on that same overnight S4 is a poor EU path — plug a spare always-on mini-PC via the tracked invite
What we will not claim
There is no RefDeal EarnApp promo code, no published “S4 Off bonus,” and no honest EU minimum we can paste from a 2023 screenshot. Primary CTA stays the EarnApp offer with our tracked invite. Hub: /guides/bandwidth-safety/. Starter: /en/start/bandwidth/.
