What this guide is (and is not)
Device Manager → Ethernet → Power Management → “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” belongs in earnapp-windows-nic-power-saving-europe-2026. That page is the per-NIC PCI checkbox that can disable the whole adapter. Ethernet Advanced Energy-Efficient Ethernet / Green Ethernet / IEEE 802.3az belongs in earnapp-windows-eee-green-ethernet-europe-2026 — that is the PHY Low Power Idle bit. This page is the Windows power plan: Control Panel → Power Options → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings → PCI Express → Link State Power Management. Off versus Moderate / Maximum power savings. The adapter stays enumerated; EEE can already be Disabled; the Wi‑Fi radio is not involved. Wi‑Fi Advanced Power Saving Mode belongs in earnapp-windows-wifi-power-saving-mode-europe-2026. USB dongles that vanish via selective suspend belong in earnapp-windows-usb-selective-suspend-europe-2026. Random hardware addresses belong in earnapp-windows-wifi-random-mac-europe-2026. Metered / Data saver belongs in earnapp-windows-metered-connection-europe-2026. PC sleep and lid-close belong in always-on-pc-earnapp-setup-europe-2026. Energy Saver, Efficiency mode, Fast startup, reboot autostart, SmartScreen, new-PC, offline/$0 and first PayPal have their own pages. Here the PCIe link itself was napping while the rest of the box stayed on.
RefDeal will not invent an “ASPM promo,” an Intel chipset coupon, or an EU payout minimum copied from a 2023 screenshot. Link State Power Management is a Windows power-plan setting (Active State Power Management on the PCIe root). EarnApp is a Bright Data client that needs a live, recognisably residential session. Install from the tracked invite, then set ASPM to Off on AC for the one spare always-on PC — or leave a laptop you carry on battery defaults and do not farm it.
Confirm it is ASPM, not EEE or the NIC checkbox
A sleepy PCIe ASPM link is not a missing EarnApp promo code.
- If Energy-Efficient Ethernet / Green Ethernet is still Enabled, fix that first on the EEE guide. You can have EEE Off and still stall because ASPM L1 parks the PCIe link above the PHY
- If Device Manager still allows Windows to turn the NIC off, use the NIC power-saving guide. That checkbox powers the PCI function down; this page leaves the NIC listed and only naps the PCIe link
- Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options → Change plan settings (the plan that is active on AC) → Change advanced power settings → PCI Express → Link State Power Management. Moderate or Maximum power savings means you belong here. Off is the EarnApp-box value on AC
- A useful test: lid open on AC, note the tray, wait through a quiet night. Latency to the gateway can spike in millisecond bursts while you slept; ping still replies after you touch the keyboard. That is not EarnApp “needing a promo”. OEM laptops sometimes hide the PCI Express branch until you show hidden power settings — search “change advanced power settings Windows 11” on Microsoft Learn, not a random ZIP
Set Link State Power Management Off on the EarnApp box
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp, on the home Ethernet port you intend to keep. Do not fight a work laptop whose MDM locks the power plan, and do not farm a phone hotspot.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not change Windows ASPM defaults
- Power Options → active AC plan → Advanced → PCI Express → Link State Power Management → Off. Then Ethernet Advanced → Energy-Efficient Ethernet / Green Ethernet → Disabled. Device Manager Power Management → uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.” All three can be wrong at once
- Best EU path: a spare mini-PC on Ethernet with ASPM Off, EEE Off, sleep Never on AC, and Wi‑Fi left unused. Hotel portals and café SSIDs are a poor EarnApp path — not a coupon hunt
- Confirm the official tray stays Online through a quiet night. Do not buy a “PCIe ASPM unlock ZIP” or a fake Bright Data driver pack.
After the PCIe link stays awake
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.
- Tray Online through a quiet week with ASPM Off on AC: leave it. We will not quote a fake first-day amount. Screenshot your own dashboard if you need a record
- Link stays up but the tray vanished after Restart: switch to the autostart/reboot guide. ASPM is done
- Link stays up, tray Online, still $0 after a quiet week with ASPM Off, EEE Off, Wi‑Fi unused or Maximum Performance, random MAC Off, USB suspend Off, Ethernet NIC checkbox Off, Energy Saver Off, Efficiency leaf Off, Fast startup Off, and an unmetered home fibre line: switch to the offline/$0 guide (firewall, official binary, Limited)
- Laptops you carry: keep Moderate ASPM on battery if you want. EarnApp on a commute dock that naps the PCIe lane is a poor EU path — plug a spare always-on mini-PC via the tracked invite
What we will not claim
There is no RefDeal EarnApp promo code, no published “ASPM Off bonus,” and no honest EU minimum we can paste from a 2023 screenshot. Primary CTA stays the EarnApp offer with our tracked invite. Hub: /guides/bandwidth-safety/. Starter: /en/start/bandwidth/.
