What this guide is (and is not)
Classic Sleep / hibernate / “never sleep on AC” and lid-close belong in always-on-pc-earnapp-setup-europe-2026. That page is the ordinary power-plan story, and it correctly says a blank display is fine on a box that actually stays in S0 working (fully on). This page is the exception: Settings still show Sleep = Never, yet powercfg /a lists Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected. When the display turns off, Windows 11 on many thin laptops and some NUCs enters Modern Standby. Radios drop to a trickle. EarnApp’s tray can still say Online until the next Bright Data poll, then Limited or $0. Fast startup (hybrid Shut down) belongs in earnapp-windows-fast-startup-europe-2026. Energy Saver belongs in earnapp-windows-energy-saver-europe-2026. NIC Device Manager “Allow the computer to turn off this device,” USB suspend, Wi‑Fi Power Saving Mode, EEE / Green Ethernet, PCIe ASPM, Game Mode, Xbox Game Bar, metered NIC, reboot autostart, SmartScreen, new-PC, offline/$0 and first PayPal have their own pages. Here the screen-off event was the stall — not a missing Sleep timeout.
RefDeal will not invent a “Modern Standby promo,” an S0 coupon, or an EU payout minimum copied from a 2023 screenshot. Modern Standby is a firmware + Windows power state. EarnApp is a Bright Data client that needs a live, recognisably residential session. Install from the tracked invite, then keep the EarnApp box out of S0 idle — preferably a spare desktop or mini-PC whose powercfg /a does not advertise S0 Low Power Idle — or accept that a Modern Standby laptop is a weak overnight farm.
Confirm it is S0, not classic Sleep
A Modern Standby laptop with the screen off is not a missing EarnApp promo code.
- If Settings → System → Power still allows Sleep after a few minutes on AC, fix that first on the always-on guide. Classic S3 sleep is a different stall: the whole PC pauses. This page is S0: the PC looks on, then the display-off path parks the NIC
- If you clicked Shut down and the tray is stale next boot, use the Fast startup guide. Hybrid shutdown is not Modern Standby
- Open an elevated Command Prompt and run powercfg /a. “Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) Network Connected” (or Network Disconnected) means you belong here. “Standby (S3)” only, with S0 unavailable, is the healthier EarnApp spare-PC profile
- A useful test: note the tray with the display on, then turn the monitor off (or close the lid if that only blanks the panel) for a quiet night. If earnings recover only when the display stays on, you were not missing a promo. Search “Modern Standby Windows 11” and “powercfg /a” on Microsoft Learn, not a random “disable S0 ZIP”
Keep the EarnApp box out of S0 idle
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp, on the home Ethernet port you intend to keep. Do not fight a work ultrabook whose firmware locks Connected Standby, and do not farm a phone hotspot.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not disable Modern Standby
- Best EU path: a spare desktop or Ethernet mini-PC where powercfg /a does not list S0 Low Power Idle. Then still set Sleep Never on AC (always-on guide), Energy Saver Off, NIC power-saving checkbox Off
- If you only have an S0 laptop: leave the session fully awake for the EarnApp test week (display on is an honest diagnostic). Do not treat “Sleep Never” as a guarantee once the panel blanks. Hotel lids and café SSIDs are a poor EarnApp path — not a coupon hunt
- Optional advanced (your hardware, your risk): Microsoft documents CSEnabled / Connected Standby firmware flags. We will not paste a Telegram .reg. If you do not understand firmware power states, buy or reuse a non-S0 spare box instead of hacking the ultrabook
- Confirm the official tray stays Online through a quiet night with the display actually off only after you know the box is not in S0 idle. Do not buy a “Modern Standby unlock pack.”
After S0 idle is out of the path
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.
- Tray Online through a quiet week with powercfg /a showing no S0 Low Power Idle (or with a proven fully-awake session): leave it. We will not quote a fake first-day amount. Screenshot your own dashboard if you need a record
- S0 gone but Sleep still triggers after minutes on AC: switch to the always-on guide. Modern Standby is done
- S0 gone but the tray vanished after Shut down: switch to the Fast startup guide
- S0 gone, Sleep Never, tray Online, still $0 after a quiet week with Energy Saver Off, Efficiency leaf Off, Game Mode Off, Game Bar Off, ASPM Off, EEE Off, Wi‑Fi unused or Maximum Performance, random MAC Off, USB suspend Off, Ethernet NIC checkbox Off, Fast startup Off, and an unmetered home fibre line: switch to the offline/$0 guide (firewall, official binary, Limited)
- Ultrabooks you actually carry: keep Modern Standby for real battery life. EarnApp on that same overnight lid-shut session is a poor EU path — plug a spare always-on mini-PC via the tracked invite
What we will not claim
There is no RefDeal EarnApp promo code, no published “S0 Off bonus,” and no honest EU minimum we can paste from a 2023 screenshot. Primary CTA stays the EarnApp offer with our tracked invite. Hub: /guides/bandwidth-safety/. Starter: /en/start/bandwidth/.
