What this guide is (and is not)
Idle Sleep after / “never sleep on AC” as the farm policy belongs in always-on-pc-earnapp-setup-europe-2026. Power mode (Best power efficiency / Balanced / Best performance) belongs in earnapp-windows-power-mode-europe-2026. Energy Saver (or classic Battery saver) belongs in earnapp-windows-energy-saver-europe-2026. Task Manager Efficiency / EcoQoS on EarnApp.exe belongs in earnapp-windows-efficiency-mode-europe-2026. A tray that vanished after reboot belongs in earnapp-windows-autostart-reboot-europe-2026. First-run SmartScreen belongs in earnapp-windows-smartscreen-install-europe-2026. Minimum processor state, Maximum processor state, Processor performance boost mode, Processor idle disable, System cooling policy, Game Mode, Xbox Game Bar, USB Root Hub Device Manager, USB 3 LPM, USB selective suspend, NIC adapter checkbox, Wi‑Fi Power Saving Mode, random MAC, EEE / Green Ethernet, PCIe ASPM, Fast startup, Modern Standby, Hibernate, hybrid sleep, lid close, power button, turn-off-display, hard-disk timeout, AHCI HIPM/DIPM, metered NIC, new-PC, offline/$0 and first PayPal have their own pages. Here the stall was Background apps still Never (or Power optimized that parks the client when the window is not focused) while Power mode was already Best performance, Energy Saver already Off, Efficiency leaf already Off, Sleep after already Never, and the tray still claimed Online.
RefDeal will not invent a “Background apps unlock promo,” an Always coupon, or an EU payout minimum copied from a 2023 screenshot. Background apps permissions in Windows 11 Installed apps is a per-app gate: Power optimized (recommended) vs Always vs Never. OEM laptops and “quiet PC” policies often park third-party tray apps on Never after a feature update. EarnApp is a Bright Data client that needs a live, recognisably residential session and a box that is allowed to run when you are not staring at the window. Install from the tracked invite, then set Background apps to Always on a dedicated farm box. A travel laptop can stay Power optimized on battery; do not farm that chassis overnight in a bag.
Confirm it is Background apps, not Efficiency mode
Background apps Never is not Efficiency mode On — it is a quiet-hour EarnApp stall from a Windows 11 per-app gate on an “awake” box, not a missing promo code.
- Settings → Apps → Installed apps. Search EarnApp or Bright Data. Open the app → Advanced options. Find Background apps permissions (Power optimized / Always / Never). Screenshot it before you touch anything. Some OEM skins hide Advanced options; then check Settings → System → Power & battery → Battery usage → EarnApp → Manage background activity
- If Background apps is already Always but Task Manager still tags EarnApp.exe with Efficiency, that is the Efficiency-mode guide. The Installed-apps permission is not the EcoQoS leaf
- If Background apps is already Always but Energy Saver is still On, that is the Energy Saver guide first. Always does not cancel Energy Saver
- If Background apps is already Always but Power mode is still Best power efficiency on AC, that is the Power mode guide. The Installed-apps gate is not the three-way Settings slider
- If Put my device to sleep after is 5, 10, or 15 minutes on AC, that is the always-on guide first. A parked machine after Sleep is Sleep (or Modern Standby), not a permission that withheld an “awake” box
- If the tray vanished after reboot and EarnApp is not even in Installed apps until you reinstall, that is the autostart / SmartScreen path first — you cannot set Background apps on a binary Windows blocked
- Search Microsoft Learn for “Windows 11 background apps permissions Always,” not a Telegram “EarnApp background unlock.zip”. Group Policy “Let Windows manage background apps” / MDM can restore Never after reboot — check those if the toggle snaps back
- After a quiet hour with the EarnApp window minimised, reopen Advanced options. If the permission is back on Never, an OEM overlay or a privacy policy restored it — this page until it sticks. If it stayed Always and the tray still Limited, check Power mode / Energy Saver / USB hub / NIC / Sleep next
Set Background apps to Always on the EarnApp box
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp, on the home Ethernet path you intend to keep. Do not fight a work laptop whose MDM restores Never, and do not farm a phone hotspot.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not change Background apps permissions
- Best EU path: spare Ethernet mini-PC — Background apps = Always. Power mode = Best performance plugged in. Energy Saver Off. Efficiency leaf Off. Game Mode Off. Processor idle disable = Enabled. Processor performance boost mode = Enabled. Maximum processor state = 100%. Minimum processor state = 100%. System cooling policy = Active. USB Root Hub checkboxes Off. USB 3 LPM Off. USB selective suspend Disabled. NIC adapter checkbox Off. Put my device to sleep after = Never. Leave the box on AC, vents clear. Minimise the EarnApp window; do not keep it focused “so it earns”
- On battery on a real travel laptop: Power optimized is acceptable so the chassis can save milliwatts. Farm overnight only on AC with Background apps Always, Power mode Best performance, Energy Saver Off, Sleep Never, and the chassis not in a bag
- Tell the household: a dark monitor is supposed to happen; Always on a farm box will not spin extra fans by itself if cooling policy and min processor state are already sane. Do not buy a “background apps pack”. If EarnApp is missing from Installed apps, reinstall from the tracked invite — sideloaded ZIP copies often never get a Background apps row
After Background apps is Always and Sleep stays Never
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray through a quiet hour with the window minimised. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.
- Tray Online through a quiet week with Background apps Always, Power mode Best performance, Energy Saver Off, and Sleep Never: leave it. We will not quote a fake first-day amount. Screenshot your own dashboard if you need a record
- Background apps Always but Energy Saver still On: switch to the Energy Saver guide. This page’s permission is done; the battery overlay can still cap the client
- Background apps Always but Power mode still Best power efficiency: switch to the Power mode guide
- Background apps Always but EarnApp.exe still shows Efficiency: switch to the Efficiency-mode guide
- Background apps Always but Sleep after still has minutes: switch to the always-on guide
- Background apps Always but the tray vanished after reboot: switch to the autostart guide
- Background apps Always, stall is a USB dock: switch to the USB Root Hub guide
- Background apps Always, tray Limited on a modern laptop with Sleep Never: switch to the Modern Standby guide and run powercfg /a
- Background apps Always, Power mode Best performance, Energy Saver Off, Efficiency leaf Off, Game Mode Off, Game Bar Off, idle-disable Enabled, boost Enabled, max 100%, min 100%, cooling Active, Sleep Never, USB hub checkboxes Off, USB 3 LPM Off, USB selective suspend Off, HIPM/DIPM Active or N/A, ASPM Off, disk timeout Never, screen timeout short, lid Do nothing, hybrid sleep Off, power button Do nothing, Hibernate Never, Fast startup Off, NIC checkbox Off, EEE Off, Wi‑Fi unused or Maximum Performance, random MAC Off, unmetered home fibre, tray Online, still $0 after a quiet week: switch to the offline/$0 guide (firewall, official binary, Limited)
What we will not claim
There is no RefDeal EarnApp promo code, no published “Always bonus,” and no honest EU minimum we can paste from a 2023 screenshot. Primary CTA stays the EarnApp offer with our tracked invite. Hub: /guides/bandwidth-safety/. Starter: /en/start/bandwidth/.
