Confirm it is AHCI HIPM/DIPM, not HDD timeout, ASPM, or USB suspend
HIPM+DIPM is not “Turn off hard disk after” — it is a quiet-hour EarnApp stall on SATA links, not a missing promo code.
- Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options → your active plan → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings. Expand Hard disk. You should see Turn off hard disk after (already Never on a farm box) and, on many Intel/AMD AHCI chipsets, AHCI Link Power Management - HIPM/DIPM. - If the AHCI HIPM/DIPM row is missing, you are probably on NVMe or RAID/VMD — this page cannot invent a SATA switch. Use the PCIe ASPM guide for NVMe link states, then stop hunting AHCI
- If Turn off hard disk after is still 10–20 minutes on a spinning HDD, that is the hard-disk timeout guide first. HIPM/DIPM is the SATA link; timeout is platter idle minutes
- If Put my device to sleep after is 5, 10, or 15 minutes on AC, that is the always-on guide first. A parked SATA link after Sleep is Sleep (or Modern Standby), not HIPM
- If the stall is only a USB Ethernet dongle or USB-SATA dock that vanishes, use the USB selective suspend guide first. USB-SATA bridges often ignore AHCI HIPM; they listen to USB suspend
- From an elevated Command Prompt: powercfg /q SCHEME_CURRENT SUB_DISK. Look for AHCI Link Power Management - HIPM/DIPM (or similar). Active is the farm value on AC. Search “AHCI Link Power Management HIPM DIPM Windows 11” on Microsoft Learn, not a Telegram “EarnApp AHCI unlock.zip”
Set AHCI HIPM/DIPM to Active on the EarnApp box, on AC
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp, on the home Ethernet port (or stable home Wi‑Fi) you intend to keep. Do not fight a work laptop whose MDM restores HIPM+DIPM, and do not farm a phone hotspot.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not change AHCI HIPM/DIPM
- Best EU path: spare Ethernet mini-PC — AHCI Link Power Management - HIPM/DIPM = Active plugged in. Turn off hard disk after = Never (0). USB selective suspend Off. Turn off my screen after = 2–10 minutes. Put my device to sleep after = Never. Power button Do nothing. Lid Do nothing if it has a lid. Hibernate after Never. Allow hybrid sleep Off. Leave the box on AC, vents clear
- On battery on a real travel laptop: HIPM or HIPM+DIPM can be reasonable. Farm overnight only on AC with HIPM/DIPM Active and Sleep Never
- Tell the household: a dark monitor is supposed to happen; a SATA SSD that never enters Partial/Slumber on AC is also supposed to happen on a farm box. Do not buy an “AHCI unlock pack”
