What this guide is (and is not)
Idle Sleep after / “never sleep on AC” belong in always-on-pc-earnapp-setup-europe-2026. That page is the ordinary timeout story. Hibernate after X minutes, Start-menu Hibernate, and S4 dumps belong in earnapp-windows-hibernate-europe-2026 — you did not touch the lid. Modern Standby / Standby (S0 Low Power Idle) belongs in earnapp-windows-modern-standby-europe-2026: the display blanks on an open lid and radios trickle. Fast startup belongs in earnapp-windows-fast-startup-europe-2026 — you clicked Shut down. Energy Saver, Efficiency EcoQoS leaf, NIC Device Manager “Allow the computer to turn off this device,” USB suspend, Wi‑Fi Power Saving Mode, EEE / Green Ethernet, PCIe ASPM, Game Mode, Xbox Game Bar, metered NIC, reboot autostart, SmartScreen, new-PC, offline/$0 and first PayPal have their own pages. Here the stall was closing the lid while Sleep after already said Never.
RefDeal will not invent a “lid-close promo,” a clamshell coupon, or an EU payout minimum copied from a 2023 screenshot. Lid close is a Windows power action. EarnApp is a Bright Data client that needs a live, recognisably residential session. Install from the tracked invite, then set When I close the lid = Do nothing when plugged in on the one spare always-on laptop — or do not farm a clamshell you shut every night. A laptop you actually carry should keep Sleep on lid-close for bags and trains; do not farm that chassis overnight with the lid slammed.
Confirm it is the lid action, not Sleep after or S4 idle
Sleep after Never with lid-close = Sleep is still an overnight EarnApp killer — not a missing promo code.
- If Settings → System → Power still allows Sleep after a few minutes with the lid open on AC, fix that first on the always-on guide. This page assumes Sleep after is already Never and the stall happens when the lid shuts
- If the lid stays open, you did not click Hibernate, and the PC still dumps after hours, use the Hibernate S4 guide (Hibernate after). Lid close is a different row on the same Control Panel page
- If the lid stays open, the display blanks, and powercfg /a lists Standby (S0 Low Power Idle), use the Modern Standby guide. S0 is not “When I close the lid”
- Open Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do. If the page is greyed, click Change settings that are currently unavailable (admin). Note four rows: power button, sleep button, When I close the lid, and (often) When I press the power button. On battery vs Plugged in are separate columns
- OEM laptops often ship Plugged in lid-close = Sleep even when Sleep after is Never. Some ship Hibernate. Either one kills EarnApp the second the clamshell shuts. Do nothing on AC is the farm setting. Sleep on battery stays sane for a bag
- Optional: powercfg /requests after closing the lid with an external HDMI monitor still attached — some docks keep the session awake even when lid = Sleep. Do not treat a docked monitor as proof the lid action is Do nothing. Check the Control Panel row. Search “When I close the lid Windows 11” on Microsoft Learn, not a Telegram “EarnApp lid.reg”
Keep the EarnApp laptop awake with the lid shut
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp, on the home Ethernet port (or stable home Wi‑Fi) you intend to keep. Do not fight a work laptop whose MDM restores lid-close Sleep, and do not farm a phone hotspot.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not change lid-close
- Best EU path: spare Ethernet mini-PC or desktop — no lid at all. If the farm is a spare clamshell: When I close the lid → Plugged in → Do nothing. Sleep after Never. Hibernate after Never. Energy Saver Off. Leave it on AC with the lid shut on a shelf, vents clear
- On battery: leave Sleep (or Hibernate) so a forgotten charger in a bag does not cook the chassis. Farm overnight only on AC
- Confirm the official tray stays Online through a 10-minute lid-shut test, then a quiet night. Do not buy a “lid unlock pack.” Do not wedge the lid with a sock as a “fix” while the policy is still Sleep — that is heat, not a setting
After lid-close is Do nothing on AC
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.
