Confirm it is the USB hub, not the PCI NIC
A sleeping USB hub is not a missing EarnApp promo code.
- If EarnApp uses a motherboard Ethernet or Wi‑Fi card (no dongle, no USB-C dock), use the NIC power-saving guide. This page is only for USB Wi‑Fi sticks, USB Ethernet, Thunderbolt/USB-C docks, and travel adapters
- Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options → Change plan settings → Change advanced power settings → USB settings → USB selective suspend setting. If Plugged in is Enabled, you belong here
- Device Manager → Universal Serial Bus controllers → USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) / USB Composite Device → Properties → Power Management. The same “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” tick on a hub is not the Network adapters tick
- A useful test: leave the tray Online, unplug the USB NIC for two seconds and plug it back — if Windows re-enumerates the adapter and EarnApp only recovers after that, the hub slept. Ping-from-phone failing while the box still hums is the same signal. It is not EarnApp “needing a promo”
Turn USB selective suspend off on the EarnApp box
Do this on the machine that actually runs EarnApp. Do not farm a work laptop whose MDM forces USB sleep after idle.
- Open /earnapp/ and use the RefDeal tracked invite if the client is not installed yet. The invite attributes a first signup. It does not change Power Options
- Set USB selective suspend to Disabled for Plugged in (and On battery if you insist on testing a laptop on AC with the lid shut). Click Apply. Repeat after a Windows Update that resets the plan
- Uncheck Power Management on every USB Root Hub that feeds the dongle or dock. Leave Bluetooth and unused hubs alone if you do not know which cable is which — guesswork is how people disable a keyboard
- Best EU path: a spare mini-PC with built-in Ethernet. A cheap USB-C dock plus overnight EarnApp is a support ticket, not a coupon hunt. If the dock still drops after suspend is Off, replace the path — do not stack “USB keep-alive” ZIPs
After the USB NIC stays awake
Sign in with the same account you intend to keep. Leave the box on AC. Confirm the official tray. Use /earnapp/ if you never started from our tracked invite.

- Laptops on battery: USB selective suspend exists to save milliwatts. EarnApp on a commute stick that sleeps in a bag is a poor EU path — plug a spare always-on mini-PC via the tracked invite
